Hertz
Hertz was established in the US in 1918, more than one hundred years ago. Since then, the company has developed into one of the world's largest car rental companies. Hertz has been operating in Switzerland since 1952 and also celebrated its entry onto the European market back then with the opening of the first station in Lucerne. Since 2012, Herold Fahrzeugvermietung AG, a subsidiary of the Emil Frey Group, has been operating the Swiss Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty business as an international Hertz country licensee. With more than 125 models from more than 25 brands with an average age of only three months, the offer of Hertz Switzerland not only incorporates the most diverse but also one of the youngest and most attractive fleets of passenger and commercial vehicles in the country. This is supplemented by an extensive network of branches at around 50 locations.
